We are currently seeking an experienced Head of Sales to lead our National Industrial Services department sales team, and this role is pivotal in supporting our strategic vision to increase the company’s revenue to achieve Enigma Industrial Services’ future plans. Our primary objective is to continue growing the business by delivering high-quality services and retaining a trusted partner ethos.
To be considered for this role, previous industrial service experience is essential because you will need an in-depth understanding of the UK industrial market, including its key operators and clients, and have the professional ability to confidently grow the business services with key clients. The business is regionally operated, and the role holds a UK-wide opportunity for the nominated candidate.
Enigma Industrial Services provides contract scaffolding, thermal insulation, protective coatings, industrial cleaning, asbestos management and a range of additional services. To support industrial clients operating in the agrochemical, energy & power, food & beverage production, industrial manufacturing, nuclear, infrastructure, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical market sectors.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for generating new leads, developing new client relationships, and the subsequent preparation and delivery of both pre-qualification and tender documents to give insight.
• Create and monitor the business growth strategy and assist the Industrial Service SMT (Senior Management Team) with progressing the sales pipeline to achieve set target milestones.
• Ability to meet agreed sales targets, exploit opportunities for new business in defined market sectors and negotiate contracts on behalf of the organisation to achieve the best possible margins on projects.
• Identify and explore opportunities in our existing client database including any new lead introductions or recommendations provided by our Regional/Divisional Management team.
• Create and identify “top” targets as agreed with the business director to form an award scheme for monitoring the sales teams’ performance.
• Undertake re-tender activity for existing business as required, including preparation of tender documentation in conjunction with our internal operational teams based around the UK.
• Liaise with the operations team in the coordination of contract bids, including specification development and pricing.
• Manage and provide support in the development of the sales database; this involves maintaining accurate data records and providing detailed reports to the senior business management team.
• Provide market intelligence where possible and monitor competitor activity in defined market sectors.
• Ensure full understanding of any changes and development in legislation and working practices that may affect the company’s operations and/or present new opportunities.
• Maintain the highest standards of presentation, personal integrity, and customer support at all times.
• Provide statistics and reports as required.
Knowledge skills & experience
• Demonstrable track record in managing and setting key targets for a successful sales team member.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of Industrial markets and its competitors.
• Experience of medium/high value service contracts with complex agreements.
• Sound working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages to an intermediate level.
• Technical skills/knowledge in a broad range of facility services.
• Experience in Presenting.

• Excellent interpersonal skills / rapport building.
• Commercial ability to review and analyse business operations, with strong communication, leadership, and business planning skills.
• Confident in demonstrating innovation and creativity, excellent numeracy and literacy, and good all-round IT skills to include knowledge of MS PowerPoint.

Enigma Industrial Services are seeking to recruit an additional CISRS Instructor (CISRS approved Part 1 and Part 2 instructor) from April 2026 at our Enigma-is Training Centre in Derby to share their skills and experience with apprentices progressing in our industry.
Candidates must be based within a commutable distance of our Enigma-is Training Centre in Derby and travel to provide on-site training throughout the business.
The Role
To deliver CISRS approved suite of courses within the given subject area at Enigma-is Training Centre in Derby and field based in a consistent, professional way which reflects Enigma-IS business integrity and culture.
- To deliver courses as required in line with CISRS and accrediting body requirements
- To support customers during course delivery as appropriate
- To obtain positive customer feedback following course completion in line with KPIs set within the personal development plan
- To participate in standardisation and continuing professional development events as required
- To provide support to trainees and existing Instructor/Assessors as appropriate
- To support department growth through technical input to new courses, training standards, customer meetings, and the continual improvement of existing courses.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Apply CISRS and where appropriate Enigma-IS Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure that all Enigma-IS quality and operational procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Maintain and embrace ownership of departmental policies and procedures.

- CISRS suite of scaffolding courses inc. CPD, COTS, BSI, Part 1, Part 2, etc.
- Relevant trade, technical and knowledge tests.
- Other scaffolding-related short courses as required.
