We are looking to hire an experienced Operations Assistant to join our Preston branch. The successful candidate will be working with the operations team onsite to assist with tasks such as preparing timesheets and carrying out general administrative duties to support the wider team.   Responsibilities • Assist the Manager with daily business operations and challenges. • Liaise with different departments within the company. • Manage any correspondence and emails to resolve queries and escalate when required. • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders. • Monitor operations and proactively recommend suggestions for improvement. • Prepare timesheets to ensure accurate payroll.   What are we looking for: • Previous experience in a similar role. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong business acumen. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Teams) • Meticulous attention to detail. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Exceptional analytical skills to efficiently process high volumes of data and information.   Salary and Rewards • Salary: Negotiable dependant on experience • Pension: TBA % contributory by Company / Employee • Holidays: 25 Annual + 8 Days Bank Holiday • Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm.

The successful candidate will provide dedicated administrative support to the team to ensure effective and efficient operation of daily tasks as directed by the line manager. The role will encompass the delivery of a wide variety of administration tasks, with a focus of this role being the deliverance of excellent customer service through open, courteous, and friendly communication. Responsibilities Efficient clerical and administrative support as required including but not limited to: · Maintain stock of stationery supplies for the office. · Purchase Orders & Invoicing. · Travel and Hotel Bookings. · Meet, greet, and escort visitors, coordinating meeting rooms. · IT equipment management and record keeping. · Act as the central contact for the team, fielding and redirecting calls and enquiries where required. · Ensure all associated paperwork is completed and maintained in an orderly and timely manner. · Assist in the distribution of communication material and presentations. · Support the team with weekly and monthly administration activities and deadlines such as the collation of timesheets. Scaffolders (All Grades) & COTS Labourers - Competitive rates and immediate start with long-term employment opportunity. Main duties will include the erection and dismantle of scaffolding, both tube & fitting and system Scaffolds, to support our client’s ‘Town Works’ sites across multiple locations within the region. Successful candidates will work from our South Wales Distribution Centre at Kenfig near Port Talbot and ideally have experience with Kwikstage and HAKI system scaffold. We offer competitive rates and the opportunity for consistent high earners to be transferred to a full-time position. Candidates must hold a CISRS accreditation and have an appetite for maximising their potential. COTS Labourers We require experienced labourers to assist Scaffolders in the chaining of materials to the work face and checking the storage and quantity of scaffold equipment. Interpretation of material that Scaffolders require for erection with the identification of scaffold components is essential for this role. Responsibilities Successful applicants will need to be able to work as part of a team and be fully conversant with current Health and Safety at work procedures and legislation surrounding construction works and scaffold erection/dismantling. Enigma is a leading provider of access and industrial services and are currently recruiting for scaffolding apprenticeship roles to support our client’s new-build housing and construction sites throughout Newcastle and the North-East region. Successful candidates will join our established teams working on these sites and report to our Newcastle depot. Ideally, before applying for the apprenticeship roles, you will have the following, but not essential:
  • Previous construction experience is advantageous, or any physical outdoor role/experience.
  • A valid CSCS card is advantageous (Or having completed a Health & Safety Test within the last 2 years).
Please note: The minimum age to apply is 16. However, due to the job being site work, applicants must compete a young person at work risk assessment and are required to work under full supervision from a charge hand or supervisor. On-site you'll begin by loading out scaffolding materials and you will be taught manual handling, health and safety rules, and basic scaffolding knowledge, including correctly identifying equipment. Additionally, you will undertake manual handling and COTS (CISRS Operative Training Scheme) training whilst working in our yards. As your confidence and knowledge improve, you will be given more responsibilities, to continually develop and learn the skills necessary to become a qualified Scaffolder. All our Apprentice Scaffolders attend college which is arranged after you have passed your probationary period. To gain your qualification to become a qualified Scaffolder the training normally takes up to 2-years, or more dependent on the qualifications needed. During training, you will attend a Construction Training Centre to carry out your Part 1 and Part 2 qualifications and then again to complete your final assessment before gaining your qualification. It’s important to remember before applying for this role, that you understand being a scaffolder is a physically demanding job which must be done in all weather conditions.
